TextText is defined as a series of characters which form words used to build up sentences. Sentences can be combined into visually distinct blocks, which are called paragraphs. Finally, paragraphs can be grouped into sections, usually by prefixing them with a visual marker or textual heading. Just like in written language, the ZML text parser breaks down text into identifiable entities and applies formatting according to predefined symbols and character sequences, called tags. There are separate tags for character, paragraph and section formatting, and this will be the subject of the following chapters:
